PM Modi Slams Congress at Washim Rally, Highlights BJP’s Commitment to Marginalized Communities

PM Modi

At a rally in Washim, Maharashtra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, accusing it of adopting a “foreign mindset” and a “divide and rule” strategy reminiscent of British colonialism. Modi criticized Congress for historically sidelining marginalized groups such as Dalits, tribals, and OBCs, claiming the party viewed governance as an inherited right and neglected the needs of disadvantaged communities.

Modi highlighted the Congress party’s failure to uplift the Banjara community, which the British had once branded as criminals. He contrasted this with his BJP government’s efforts towards their development, including the inauguration of the Banjara National Museum to honor their contributions. Modi also accused Congress of unethical practices, citing a recent drug racket bust and alleging connections to the party.

In his speech, the Prime Minister underscored the BJP’s focus on farmers, disbursing ₹20,000 crore as part of the 18th installment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, benefiting 9.4 crore farmers across the country. He praised Maharashtra’s “double engine” governance model for its significant support to farmers through various schemes like the Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana. Modi further demonstrated his government’s dedication to sustainable energy by inaugurating five new solar parks.
