Mumbai Police Receives Threat Against Salman Khan Allegedly Linked to Lawrence Bishnoi Gang

Salman Khan

Early Tuesday morning, the Mumbai Police received a death threat message directed at Bollywood actor Salman Khan. The sender, claiming to be the brother of imprisoned gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, allegedly demanded that Khan apologize at a temple or pay Rs 5 crore to avoid being killed.

A senior police officer stated that the threat was sent to the Mumbai traffic control helpline around 12:30 am. Following this, the Worli police were alerted and immediately began investigations.

The police believe that the message, sent from an unknown number, might be a hoax. “A case is being registered, and a dedicated team is working to trace the source of the threat,” the officer confirmed.

This incident follows another threatening message received on Sunday by the Mumbai traffic police, in which the sender warned that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath would face the same fate as former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique if he did not resign within ten days. Siddique was allegedly killed by the Bishnoi gang in Bandra (East) on October 12.
