In a step towards empowering local artisans, the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) (DCH) under the Ministry of Textiles organized an Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) in Kerala’s scenic Bhoothankettu region, Kothamangalam, Ernakulam 4th November 2024. Partnering with Life Empower Handicraft Producer Company, the event brought together 20 artisans, equipping them with essential entrepreneurial skills to grow their craft businesses.

The artisans were introduced to sustainable design practices, emphasizing eco-friendly production to meet growing consumer demand. - Exploring Global Markets:
Strategies for accessing international markets were discussed, enabling artisans to expand their reach and cater to global demand for Indian handicrafts.
