Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, known as the “Shahenshah,” recently expressed frustration over fake news and misinformation. In a strongly worded blog post, the actor called out individuals spreading false narratives, referring to them as “idiots” and “brainless.”
What Did Amitabh Say?
In his blog, Amitabh wrote:
“Idiots and those with limited brain – never a dearth of such in this world; they make and print their own imbecilic fakes each day to hide their own personal, brainless, half-witted deficiencies in such.”
He ended his note with his trademark sign-off, “My love.”
The actor also addressed the issue on X (formerly Twitter), saying:
“T 5216 – Banane waale jo har shabd kaa apna hi arth nikalte hai, apna niji jeevan ke anarth ko chipaate hai (Those who derive their own meaning from every word, hide the misfortunes of their personal lives) 🤣.”
Rumours Surrounding the Bachchan Family
Amitabh’s posts come amidst rumours about his son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Speculations arose after the couple made separate appearances at public events, including the high-profile wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.
However, these rumours were quashed when the couple made a rare joint appearance at a Mumbai party. They also celebrated their daughter Aaradhya’s 13th birthday together earlier this month, further silencing the gossip.
Bachchan’s Stance Against Fake News
While Amitabh didn’t name anyone directly, his words reflect his annoyance with the spread of baseless information. The actor’s firm response has sparked discussions online, with fans praising him for addressing the issue.
