Do you prefer having redlight tourism in India?

There are several reasons why I do not prefer having red-light tourism in India:

  • It is exploitative. Prostitutes in India are often forced into prostitution through poverty, debt bondage, or violence. They are often denied basic human rights and protections.
  • It is dangerous. Prostitutes are at risk of physical and sexual violence from their clients and from the police. They are also at risk of contracting sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
  • It is harmful to society. Red-light tourism can contribute to the spread of HIV/AIDS and other STIs. It can also lead to increased crime and social unrest in the areas where it takes place.

I believe that India should focus on addressing the underlying causes of prostitution, such as poverty and gender inequality, rather than promoting red-light tourism. We should also work to protect the rights and safety of prostitutes who have been forced into the industry.
