The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) recently organized the Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0 District Outreach Programme at ŠKODA AUTO Volkswagen India Pvt Ltd, Chakan. This initiative aims to enhance social security awareness among establishments and EPF subscribers.
Key Highlights of the Event
The event, hosted by EPFO’s Akurdi Pune-2 Regional Office, educated employers, employees, pensioners, and stakeholders on critical Provident Fund (PF) and pension topics. Key sessions included:
- UAN activation process.
- Compliance for international workers.
- Digital Life Certificate (DLC) updates.
- Filing e-nominations online.
- Updates to Form 5A and the Principal Employer portal.
A dedicated helpdesk was also available to assist attendees.
Insights from Dignitaries
G Madhumitha Das, Joint Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Labour & Employment, served as the chief guest. She emphasized linking multiple Member IDs with UANs for seamless benefits and encouraged HR executives to guide employees in UAN activation. Das praised EPFO’s ongoing efforts to ensure social security for subscribers.
Achievements at the Event
- Eight UAN activations were completed on-site.
- Fourteen more were facilitated at M/s Sigma Engineering Solutions.
- A Pension Payment Order (PPO) was handed over to a beneficiary under the Prayass Scheme.
Collaboration for Comprehensive Services
The programme included participation from other departments to provide holistic services:
- Postal Department: Bipin Erande highlighted Aadhaar-related corrections for hassle-free PF benefits and introduced postman-assisted DLC updates.
- ESIC Pune Zone: Sujata Agasti addressed workers’ grievances, aligning with EPFO’s vision of collaborative service delivery.
Stakeholder Appreciation
Representatives from ŠKODA AUTO Volkswagen India expressed gratitude for EPFO Akurdi’s prompt grievance resolution and commitment to subscriber satisfaction.
Future Plans
EPFO Akurdi plans to organize similar outreach programs regularly to ensure better service delivery and accessibility in newly covered districts.
