Farhan Akhtar has unveiled the first look of his upcoming military action drama, 120 Bahadur. The film is a tribute to the 120 soldiers who fought valiantly during the 1962 Battle of Rezang La in the Indo-China war.
On the 62nd anniversary of the battle, Farhan shared a poster on Instagram to honour the courage and sacrifice of Major Shaitan Singh and his men. In the film, Farhan takes on the lead role of Major Shaitan Singh PVC, known for his extraordinary leadership and bravery.
Farhan captioned the post:
“It’s been 62 years since 1962. Today, we honour the unparalleled courage and sacrifice of the heroes of Rezang La. 120 Bahadur is our tribute to the valour and indomitable spirit of Major Shaitan Singh and his brave men. Their story echoes through time, reminding us of the price of freedom and the strength of unity, with a special salute to the Ahir community, whose sons displayed unmatched bravery in defending our nation.”
The first-look poster shows Farhan as an Indian Army soldier, aiming his gun with blood-stained teeth and a determined expression. The tagline on the poster reads, “Woh teen hazar the aur hum (They are three thousand and what about us)?”
Farhan first announced 120 Bahadur in September, sharing initial posters and revealing the film’s premise. Directed by Razneesh Razy Ghai and produced under Excel Entertainment, the film will release in 2025.
Farhan, known for his versatility as an actor and director, has also announced two other projects: Jee Le Zaraa and Don 3. However, those films are expected to be delayed as 120 Bahadur takes precedence.
The film highlights the heroism of the Indian Army, particularly Major Shaitan Singh and the Ahir community, who stood against overwhelming odds in the face of the enemy.
