Kia Launches Fourth-Generation Carnival in India: Priced at Rs 63.90 Lakh

New Kia Carnival

Kia has launched the highly-anticipated fourth-generation Carnival in India, starting at an ex-showroom price of Rs 63.90 lakh. This premium MPV has caught attention with its advanced features and noticeable price increase. Let’s explore what makes it stand out.

The new Kia Carnival is a massive vehicle, measuring 5,155 mm in length with a 3,090 mm wheelbase. Available in a single variant, the Limousine Plus, it is offered in two striking color options: Fusion Black and Glacier White Pearl. While retaining its classic MPV shape, the Carnival’s exterior has been upgraded for a more robust look.

Prominent lines across the bonnet, L-shaped LED DRLs, and vertically stacked LED headlights provide an imposing road presence. The front showcases a bold, all-black Tiger Nose grille with chrome studs, while the chrome-finished front bumper with LED fog lamps adds a refined touch.

From the side, the Carnival’s impressive length is evident, featuring 18-inch alloy wheels and a bold character line running above the door handles. A thick metal slab on the C-pillar adds a unique touch, while the connected L-shaped LED tail lights are inspired by the Seltos. The MPV offers generous cargo space: 627 liters with all seats up, and a whopping 2,827 liters with the third row folded flat, comparable to the size of a small room.

The new Carnival adopts a 2+2+3 seating configuration, eliminating previous options. The second row includes Captain Seats, which can slide front-to-back and side-to-side for added flexibility. While slightly bulky to move, the seats’ lateral movement allows easier access to the third row.

These Captain Seats resemble plush recliners, complete with full recline and ottoman support for a luxurious ride. The second-row passengers can also adjust the front passenger seat and tilt its cushion for additional thigh support.

For climate control, the Carnival features a 3-zone system that can be managed from the second row, with the control panel conveniently positioned behind the driver’s seat. The third row is also a highlight, providing comfortable seating for two adults and a child, along with ample headroom and legroom. Additional features include two Type-C charging ports, window blinds, and roof-mounted air vents.

The electric sliding doors make entry and exit seamless, ideal for children and elderly passengers. A side step further enhances practicality. With these improvements, the Kia Carnival 2024 continues to set new standards for comfort in the MPV segment.

The dashboard is elegantly designed with layers of premium materials, including leather. It features a curved twin 12.3-inch display for infotainment and vehicle information. The system is both visually appealing and user-friendly, with a digital control panel that doubles as a climate or infotainment interface. Other highlights include Type-C slots, a wireless phone charger, cup holders, ample storage in the armrest, and a modern shift-by-wire dial. There’s also an 11-inch head-up display and a 12-speaker Bose sound system.

In terms of safety, the Carnival is equipped with Level 2 ADAS, featuring over 10 autonomous functions. It also comes with 8 airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control, Hill Assist Control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and parking sensors on all sides.
