Allu Arjun’s much-anticipated sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rule, is smashing box office records, with two-day collections in India reaching an impressive ₹265 crore nett. Directed by Sukumar, the film has garnered massive appreciation for its high-octane narrative, stellar performances, and action-packed sequences.
Day 2 Collections in India
After a record-breaking ₹175 crore nett on its opening day, the film maintained strong momentum, earning ₹90.1 crore nett across languages on Day 2.
Breakdown by Language (Day 2):
- Hindi: ₹55 crore
- Telugu: ₹27.1 crore
- Tamil: ₹5.5 crore
- Malayalam: ₹1.9 crore
- Kannada: ₹0.6 crore
The Hindi version has already outperformed the Telugu version, accumulating ₹125.3 crore in two days, compared to ₹118.05 crore from Telugu audiences.
Worldwide Box Office Records
As per Manobala Vijayabalan, Pushpa 2 has grossed a staggering ₹417.5 crore worldwide in just two days.
- Day 1: ₹282.9 crore gross
- Day 2: ₹134.6 crore gross
This makes Pushpa 2 the first Indian film to surpass ₹400 crore gross worldwide in its first two days.
Occupancy Highlights
- Telugu markets: 53% occupancy overall, with Hyderabad leading at 65% (1,009 shows).
- Hindi markets: 51.65% occupancy, with Mumbai performing exceptionally at 59.50% (1,523 shows).
- Delhi-NCR region: Recorded 50.25% occupancy across 1,741 shows.
Pushpa 2: The Rule – A Cinematic Triumph
The sequel continues the journey of Pushpa Raj (Allu Arjun), a red sandalwood smuggler, as he battles rising threats. The film introduces Jagapathi Babu in a pivotal role while Fahadh Faasil reprises his role as SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, and Rashmika Mandanna returns as Srivalli.
Following the legacy of its predecessor, Pushpa: The Rise, which grossed ₹393.50 crore worldwide and earned Allu Arjun his first National Award, the sequel is poised to outdo its predecessor both in numbers and acclaim.
